The Wolves Track team had outstanding individual performances at the OK Gold Conference Championship on Saturday at Houseman Field. The 4 x 100 Relay team of Ja’Darious Jones (10), Alex Hage (11), Dion Holloway (12) and Kam Rainey (12) took first place in the conference with a season’s best time of 44.03. Each sprinter on the relay team also made it to the finals of the 100 meter dash with Wyoming having 4 of the 8 spots in the final race! Jones took 2nd with a time of 11.26, Holloway took 4th with a time of 11.66, Rainey took 5th with a time of 11.71 and Hage took 6th with a time of 11.76. Jones also took 2nd in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.05 and earning him All-Conference honors! Freshman Anthony Chandler also placed in the conference in the 200 with a time of 24.41 earning him a 7th place conference finish. Sophomore hurdler, Brandon Ratliff, broke the school record in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.59 and a 2nd place finish in the conference. Freshman, Diamonte Parks took 8th in the conference in the 400 meter run with a time of 54.99. For the field events, Corey Gochenour (10) threw the discus a personal best 120-10 earning him 7th in the conference and Joe Wisner (12) threw it 120-06, also a personal best, earning him 8th in the conference. The Wolves travel to Kalamazoo Loy Norrix on Friday for Regionals! Go Wolves!
