The Men’s Wolves Track team participated in the Conference Track meet on Saturday at Houseman Field. Congratulations to Brandon Ratfliff for earning All Conference honors with a win in the 110 meter high hurdles, and a time of 15.03 as well as a win in the 300 meter low hurdles with a time of 41.13, a personal best for the season. Congrats, Brandon!
The 4 x 100 relay team placed second with a time of 44.89. The team is made up of Ratliff, Junior Omari Lewis, Senior Alex Hage, and Junior Ja’Darious Jones. Jones also placed third in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.69. Hage placed fifth with a time of 11.82. Sophomore Monte Parks placed second in the 400 meter run with a time of 52.36. Sophomore long distance runner, Matthew Black had a great day of running with personal bests in two of his events, earning him 11th place in the 1600 meter with a time of 4:58.53 and a time of 11:39.72 in the 3200 meter run. Sophomore Marion Parks earned second place in the 300 meter high hurdles with a time of 41.94. Junior thrower, Corey Gochenour broke the school record, yet again, with a personal best throw in the discus of 143-05, earning him third place honors. Deion Parks was right behind him in fourth place with a personal best throw of 141-03. Marion Parks placed sixth in long jump with a jump of 19-02.25. The Wolves travel to Grand Haven on Friday for the Regional track meet. Go Wolves!!
