The Men’s Wolves Track team hosted South Christian and Wayland Tuesday night for a Conference meet. Junior thrower Corey Gochenour broke his own school record in discus with a throw of 137.05, earning him first place in both meets. Sophomore Deion Parks earned second place with a throw of 134.01. Parks earned second place in shot put with a personal best throw of 41.00. Gochenour earned third with a throw of 40.06.5. Junior Avery Robinson had a personal best in pole vault with a vault of 11-06, earning him first place vs Wayland. Sophomore Monte Parks jumped his best jump this season in long jump with a jump of 19-03.75, earning him second place in both meets. Sophomore Marion Parks earned third place vs Wayland with a jump of 18-10.00 Junior sprinter JD Jones won the 100 meter dash and 200 meter dash in both meets with times of 11.39 and 23.00. The Wolves swept the 100 meter dash in both meets led by Jones, and followed by Senior, Alex Hage with a time of 11.69, Sophomore TJ Chandler with a time of 11.91, and Junior Brandon Ratliff with a time of 11.92. Chandler also ran the 200 and had a time of 23.95. Monte Parks won the 400 meter dash vs South Christian with a time of 52.46. Junior Jose Barajas came in second in the 800 meter run vs Wayland with a time of 2:19.84. Sophomore Matthew Black came in first vs Wayland in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:03.22. Brandon Ratliff won the 110 meter high hurdles with a time of 15.24. Marion Parks ran a personal best to earn second in the high hurdles, with a time of 16.65. Parks also ran the 300 hurdles, winning in both meets, with a time of 41.74. The men’s 4 x 100 relay team made up of Ratliff, Jones, Hage, and Junior Omari Lewis won in both meets with a time of 44.60. They also won the 4 x 200 in both meets with a time of 1:33.18 Running this relay were Lewis, Chandler, Hage, and Jones. The Wolves host the Conference Track meet this Saturday at Houseman Field.
