Wyoming Lady Wolves held a Conference Tri meet on Tuesday evening vs South Christian and Wayland. Both meets were very close; but, the Lady Wolves came up just short of the team win. There were many personal bests during the meet! Sophomore sprinter, Keylan De Armas Dominguez broke the school record in long jump with a personal best jump of 15-10.75, earning her first place in both meets. Go Keylan!! Freshman thrower, Lucia Cerda Martinez won the discus with a throw of 95.09, followed closely by Freshman thrower, Zikereah Mayberry Figures with a throw of 89.07 for second place. Mayberry Figures threw her personal best in shot put with a throw of 30.04, earning her first vs Wayland. Sophomores Abby Kubiak and Callie Seymour both had personal bests in the high jump clearing 4-06 and earning them first and second place vs South Christian. Senior Menelisia McGee won the 100 meter dash in both meets with a time of 13.10 Freshman Naomi Goodson earned second in both meets with a time of 13.49. McGee also had a personal best time in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.73. Freshman Taejah Cross also ran the 200 and had her best time this season with a time of 29.26. Cross also had her best time in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:05.66, earning her first place vs Wayland. Freshman long distance runner Delfina Hernandez Key had her best time in the 1600 meter run with a time of 6:55.87. Cross continued to run her best times by earning second place in both meets in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 18.37. Goodson earned second place in both meets in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 54.82. The 4 x 100 relay team won in both meets with a time of 52.49. The relay is made up of McGee, Goodson, De Armas Dominguez and Sophomore Aniyah Jones. The Lady Wolves host the Conference Track Meet this coming Saturday at Houseman Field. Go Wolves!!
